The IRA Champion 1948 varsity is pictured here, a representation of the dominant '48, '49 and '50 Washington teams, including two IRA sweeps and Olympic gold in the 1948 four-oared event.   The 1998 NCAA V8 and Team National Champions   The 1958 crew on their way to Henley in June of '58.  The story reads like the incredible journey: only after losing at Henley did they know they would travel to the Soviet Union, and only after arriving in Russia did they find their rhythm on the choppy Khimki Reservoir in Moscow.
